A form of “treatment” used up until the mid 1900s was to put patients of female asylums in these baths, zip them in from the outside so they are unable to get out, and leave them in these baths for several hours, usually in a dark room. This was considered ‘therapy’
What you forgot to mention is that these baths would be filled with COLD water, very cold water. This put the girls into
a bit ofshock, and nothing therapeutic came out of it. Left in a cold bath you can’t escape in a dark room for hours. “Therapy” amirite?^ i knew there was something missing ^
